Announcing the Bristol Community Solar Project

The Acorn Renewable Energy Co-op of Middlebury has begun marketing the Bristol Community Solar project to Vermont residents with an electric meter in the Green Mountain Power (GMP) service territory. Subscriptions are now available.

At the present time, subscription priority is being given to: Bristol residents, businesses and organizations; Acorn Energy Co-op members and members of the Interfaith Climate Action Network (ICAN) and Vermont Interfaith Power and Light (VTIPL). That special priority period ends on Friday, May 7, so if you are interested in participating in this unique community-owned solar project, contact us soon!

Regardless of the town you live in, if you are already an Acorn Energy Co-op member, and have paid at least half of the Lifetime membership, you also qualify for this initial offering.

Acorn Energy and CEAC Team Up to Create LiveGreenVT, Champlain Valley Climate and Energy Guide

Acorn Renewable Energy Co-op and the Climate Economy Action Center of Addison County (CEAC) have developed an online guide offering free listings to businesses and organizations doing work related to climate and renewable energy in our region. A digital version of the guide was launched in September, 2020, followed by a printed version sometime in the foreseeable future. There is no charge for a basic listing in the guide.
