As Acorn Energy Co-op grows, you, the members, will own its assets and control its destiny. You will have a voice in setting key policies, electing the Co-op Board of Directors and deciding how profits are to be distributed.
How To Join as an Owner-Member of Acorn Co-Op

Membership is $35 per year with full equity reached at $350 (or $25 per year with full equity reached at $250 for households with income under $40,000). Full equity membership may also be paid when you first join or in several separate payments thereafter. Full members are not obligated to pay annually.

- And a way to share in the development of new community-owned energy resources.
Purchasing a membership share in Acorn Energy Co-op is not an investment promising a return. The share will not increase in value and cannot be transferred or sold. If Acorn Energy Co-op loses money, you could lose all or some of your equity share. The Board of Acorn Energy Co-op believes the business plan is strong and the business will grow to be profitable, in time. If the Co-op makes money, the benefits of membership increase and members decide how the profits will be distributed.
