Energy Guide Available Online
MIDDLEBURY, VT APRIL 28, 2011 - The Acorn Renewable Energy Co-op is pleased to present the online version of our Energy Resource Directory, as a guide to smart energy opportunities in Addison County, and the greater state of Vermont.
The guide features names and profiles of over 100 local organizations, businesses, or programs, each devoted in their own way to helping you make smart energy choices. The organizations listed could help you purchase biodiesel, install solar panels on your roof, offset your carbon footprint, or get involved with “green” community projects.
Many of the steps you can take to reduce your impact are not only easy, but close at hand. If you don’t find the service you’re looking for in this booklet, some of these listings could help direct you to the right place.
The guide aims to be a building block in creating a stronger, local economy, fed by a community commitment to using energy from nearby sources, food from nearby farms, and materials from nearby forests and industries.
The online version may be read with any web browser and/or downloaded to your computer for later reading. The pages have also been optimized for viewing on smartphones, iPads or other PDA devices.
