The Acorn Energy Co-op is developing partnerships with local (and some non-local) businesses who are willing to offer benefits to our members.
These are divided into three principal categories: Energy Products Partners, Energy Services Partners, and Community Partners, as shown on the list below , which also shows the benefits provided by each Partner. For your convenience, the Community Partner category is subdivided into non-energy service providers, retail businesses, and restaurants.
Co-op Affiliates are companies whose products or services are made available at a discount to members through the Acorn Energy Co-op, rather than directly from the seller (as in the case of a Co-op Partner). The amount of the discount is negotiated individually with the affiliated company to provide substantial savings for members while permitting a portion of the total to be used to help cover the co-op's operating expenses.
In this way, members benefit from the discounted prices, and the Acorn Energy Co-op is helped to fulfill its mission of promoting ecologically-sustainable renewable energy, and making energy-efficiency products and services available to members at an affordable cost.
Additional benefits will be posted as partnership agreements become finalized. That these benefits are being offered to our members shows the considerable support of the business community for the goals of the Acorn Energy Co-op in its endeavor to provide a more energy efficient, and energy sufficient, future for the residents of our region.
